Hundreds of people have filled "1001 Languages" with life and their love of books. As a result, some children hold a book in their mother tongue in their hands for the first time and feel meant. Others beam with pride that their book is being read all over the world. Families are relieved because for the first time their multilingualism is not seen as a flaw.

There are thousands of these stories. Sometimes they are big stories, sometimes very small ones. And they can only come true if we all work together to bring this special project to life.

Perhaps you heard that we are working very hard in the background so that downloading the books can remain free of charge. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for an already established project to receive funding. That's why we created an account on patreon a year ago to have monthly income. Unfortunately, the account is starting very slowly. 

For the next step we need your enthusiasm and passion for the project.

We have renamed a second month this year. We are turning "November" into "Newember". Everyone who becomes a patron for 8 euros a month or more between now and the end of November will receive a very special gift before Christmas: a fine-art print by Petterson and Findus creator Sven Norqvist, which is not available anywhere else. The original is currently in the book pirate's house and we can tell you that it is just as full of little loving details as you would expect.

Maybe you don't have that much money to spare. In that case, we don't want to ask you to donate. But in Newember, not only the patrons get this gift, but also those who recommend new patrons for 8 euros a month or more.
