101 Translations for the Future
A Challenge about the UN 2030 Agenda
The book pirates have made a very special resolution for the new year 2020:
We want the book "How does Future Actually Come About" to be translated into 101 languages by the end of the year.
One year ago, we collected questions from children about the future. In a workshop, a group of teenagers assigned the questions sent in from various countries to the Sustainable Developement Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. They selected the most beautiful ones and illustrated them.
10 years before the end of the 2030 Agenda, we would like the book to be available to as many children in the world as possible. This can only work with the support of many people from all over the world. That is why we have also launched a social media campaign.
So, if you have translated or corrected the book, please feel free to post a photo of your work with #translateforfuture or use the hashtag to tell about the picture book on social media and thereby raise awareness of the campaign. Through the hashtag, all social media contributions will be linked and can be reposted more easily.
Here you can find the posts on facebook and here on Instagram.
We would be very happy if you support our goal and tell others about our campaign!
Maybe you even know native speakers of languages into which the book has not been translated yet?
It would be wonderful if together we could manage to translate the picture book into 101 languages.
By the way: 101 translations would be more than 20 languages more than the Harry Potter series. That should be possible, shouldn't it?
