That's why we are giving away one of two exclusive illustrations to everyone who becomes a supporter of "1001 Languages" on patreon.com for €8 or more by 1 July! You can choose which of the two new illustrations you would like to receive as an art print. Of course, you will also have all the benefits depending on the level you have chosen on patreon.

The artist Jenni Desmond wrote and illustrated wonderful picture books such as ‘One World’ and ‘The Blue Whale’, for which she was honoured with the Leipzig Reading Compass. As an artist at the Book Pirate Festival, she illustrated live on stage with us and created a fantastic exhibition in the Book Pirate House.

Marije Tolman created picture books such as ‘The Little Fox’ and ‘Igalus’. She has been honoured with numerous prizes for her books, including the renowned Bologna Ragazzi Award and the Troisdorf Picture Book Prize.

Marije writes about her art: Every book or project is an expedition, in search of the right atmosphere and purpose.

We are delighted to be part of the two artists' next expeditions and are excited to see what worlds we will discover.
