A Party in the Amazon

When our voluntary translator Anna saw the new book she is going to translate, she was particularly delighted. The Book “A Party in the Amazon” was written and illustrated by children as part of the venture “Lighthouse of Letters – An Environmental Project” by the “Elb-Lingua e.V.” association in Hamburg. It is a story about João the Jaguar who lives in the Brazilian rainforest. His best friend is the black panther Estrela and during his adventure he meets many other rainforest animals. This was very special for Anna, as she has seen all the animals herself! For many years now she has been living in French Guiana, one of the neighbouring countries of Brazil. Here she has gotten to know all the animals in the book: the Helimonkey, the blue Arara, the toucan and even the Jaguar! The French translation of “A Party in the Amazon” will be online soon.
