Нам потрібні  історії  - We share stories

We want to welcome Ukrainian refugees to Germany by sharing stories with them. Therefore, we have made yellow bookbags which will be available in libraries in Schleswig-Holstein from mid-April. In the bookbags there are five bilingual picture books in Ukrainian and German. The stories and pictures in the books were written and drawn by children. These children want to share the books with children all over the world. The five books with Ukrainian translations will be printed as a special gift to children from Ukraine. Anyone working with Ukrainian refugees in schools, kindergartens, refugee accommodations or other help networks can access the books in the libraries for free. Of course, Ukrainian families are also warmly welcome to visit the libraries and pick up the bookbags themselves. Additionally, the books can still be downloaded digitally from our site and printed at home.

We believe that stories offer comfort and give hope in difficult times. By offering them as a gift, we want to show that we value the Ukrainian language and the people who speak it. Our hope is that the stories can open a bridge for communication, build trust and understanding. You can help by telling others about this project and sharing the stories.

We will inform the press at the beginning of April but would like to inform libraries and other interested parties beforehand. Further information (in German) and contact addresses for the project can be found here .
