New Book
Last week, the new picture book “8, 16, 60 and Crack” was created in the “Leseraum” (reading room) of an elementary school in Kreuzberg. Great projects have been created in the reading room for over 15 years. An ideal place for storytelling. The picture book workshop was led by Bettina Braun, Birgit Lipka and Michael Wien. It very quickly became clear to the children that the picture book should be about numbers. The children started talking together, collecting their favorite numbers and ideas. Once their concentration was gone, the children recreated, staged and acted out the scene. The basic structure of the story was already created on the first day, so that the children who spontaneously joined in the following days also had a good opportunity to get started. In the new picture book, David, Esra, Henri, Irma, Issa, Jasper, Linus and Lotta bring numbers to life. Who knows, is it just a dream or maybe not? Embark together on an adventure with numbers that experience the truly extraordinary. Maybe you have a favorite number? What would it be like? What would it experience?
